Charlie has been curate at St Bartholomew’s since 2019, following 4 years of theological study in London. He is married to Jenny and they have 3 young children.

David Mayland
Church Warden
David and his family moved to Birmingham in 2017 and have been members at St Bartholomew’s ever since. He is married to Jenny and they have 3 children. David enjoys cycling in and around Birmingham and playing with new gadgets.

Guy Hordern
Church Warden
Guy has lived in the Parish since 1968. His wife Helen died in 1986 and he has four children and four grandchildren. He has served as a member of the City Council and as a Magistrate and was appointed MBE in 2010 for services to Community Relations in Birmingham.

Mary Martin
PCC Treasurer
Mary has lived in Birmingham since the 1970’s and moved to the church in 2019. She is married to Peter and has 2 grown up children and 1 grandchild. She is a Chartered Accountant and serves on the boards of two NHS Trusts and two local arts charities.

Jem Huggins
PCC Secretary
Jem is married to Oli; they moved to Birmingham in 2010 and have 3 children. Jem works as a Projects Officer at the University of Birmingham.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) are the trustees of St Bartholomew's under current charity law, legally responsible for the church’s financial affairs and the maintenance of its assets. They also assist the clergy in the management of the church and the promotion of its mission.
