Families
A growing community of families, children and young people.
Our 10.30am Sunday service is especially aimed at young families: songs, prayers and teaching all together and in age-appropriate groups, and colouring and craft activities. On this page, you’ll find a short guide to what children and their grown-ups can expect.
Sundays together
Our Sunday gatherings are at 10.30am, and last between an hour and an hour and a quarter. Children begin the service with everyone else, and hopefully they’ll be kept engaged for the parts of the service where we are all together – but please don’t worry about them making noise!

Children and Sunday School
About 15 minutes into the service, children up to the age of 11 are invited to join the St Bart’s Sunday School: “Sparks” for Reception up to Year 2 age, and “Flames” for Years 3 to 6. The service leader will direct you where to go for each of these groups.
Children return to the service for the Lord’s Supper, notices and the closing hymn, after which we have time to socialise with one another, and there’s plenty of space for children to meet each other and let off some steam.
Creche
Our creche corner is available for any pre-schoolers and their grown-ups to make use of throughout our services: soft toys, books and games in a safe corner of the building, where grown-ups can carry on participating in the main service.
We also have a creche room where little ones can make a bit more noise, and join in with some of the Sparks Sunday School activities as they like!
Safeguarding
We take the safety of children and other vulnerable people very seriously. Our Sunday School leaders are recruited in line with the Church of England’s Safer Recruiting practice and adhere strictly to our Church Safeguarding Policy in all their work.
